Jessica Palfrey
About Me
Jessica Palfrey is an Australian playwright, director and designer currently working in Brisbane. She has experience in playwriting, directing, designing and producing theatre. She also has previously worked as a dance teacher and choreographer both in Brisbane and her home town, Byron Bay.

My Story
Jessica graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma in Education in 2013, where she was named a UQ Future leader as one of the top 200 graduating students of the year. In 2013 she was also president of Underground Productions, the University of Queensland’s Drama Society, and was nominated and recognised as one of the top Presidents by the University, out of 250 clubs. Jessica also won a scholarship to attend SAE Institute, where she received a diploma in Screen (Filmmaking) in 2008.
Jessica has recently returned to Brisbane after living in London. Her short play ‘The Milk of Human Kindness’ was performed at Theatre 503 as part of the Rapid Write Response writers program. She also wrote, designed and produced a show, ‘When The Friendship Has Sailed’, for Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018 which was supported by SOHO Theatre young company and went on to receive four and five star reviews during it’s run.
